We all know teenage pregnancy is a style or fashion statement lately. But for now my concentration is on teenage pregnancy at school. When do children at school get a chance of having sex, nogal at primary school. What happened to our role as parents to raise our children to be better than us and not make stupid mistakes that can be avoided. A study shows that children even in primary schools are becoming pregnant and, this just left me with lot of questions and, we know very well that those girls who become pregnant before their time usually come from disadvantage backgrounds. What happened to society moral fibre? In my times “I know I’m old ” education was your key to better life. Now getting laid by any Tom, Dick and Harry is a norm. This time around I don’t want to put the blame on our sources of information and media platforms and our “so called ” celebrities we all know they showed us prostitution and being naked can be a career. We know they chase after fame and likes so much that they will do anything to be famous. So did this lifestyle of partying, boozing, nakedness and sex with no boundaries led our society to be this way? Children at schools are fantasising about sex more than their books. Where are the parents ? As a mother you groom your daughter to be a lady. Letting a child still in primary going to clubs and wearing skimpy clothes. What do you think? Obviously that child is advertising her pussy and someone will take note. This days fashion is being naked, and every time I see this children dress as if they ran out of clothes my mind asked “in what household does that girl come from and where were the people to discipline her?”
Parents needs to stop being their children’s friend but, parents and as a parent you can’t tell your child to be home every day but you as a parent you don’t sleep at home every weekend. You changing beds at different hotels, and you share the information in front of your child. The social grant is also no excuse to have children before time. That money is not enough for a child. A child per month, supposedly minimum cost is 6000 rand now compare that 300 rand and the life you want to create for your nunu. Getting pregnant without support not just financial support can lead to depression and over the past few years we heard stories of mother killing they own babies because they could not cope anymore. Fathers most of the times don’t stick around. What happened, is it the role models we chose to inspire and motivate our young ones who led them to hell with selfish, self-destruction behaviours?
